Biomass power generation operation in the first half of 2021

In the first half of 2021, the cumulative installed biomass power capacity reached 33.193 million kW. The top five provinces in the cumulative installed biomass power capacity were Shandong, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui, with 3.706 million kW, 3.170 million kW, 2.745 million kW, 2.517 million kW and 2.02 million kW respectively. In the first half of 2021, biomass generated 77.95 billion KWH, an increase of about 26.6% year on year. The top six provinces in terms of annual power generation were Guangdong, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui and Henan, with 9.77 billion KWH, 9.07 billion KWH, 6.92 billion KWH, 6.54 billion KWH and 5.06 billion KWH respectively.
